so much have passed…

can’t even think about what to start with.

Alongside all the crazy parties I’ve had during this period, I’ve actually done something productive :D
Firstly, the school is almost over (by this I mean there’s one month left), however, I’ve left Dukascopy Bank and I’m looking for another internship to practice at. As this may be a hard choice for me, will see how this develops.

Me and my friend (Dainis) are just about to work with our new project for Jurmala city. Roof cleaning. Sounds weird, but, somehow, I’ve got a strange (in a good way) feeling about this. So yeah, if you need your roof cleaned, don’t hesitate. We’ll offer the best! :)

My second most time consuming thing after my studies is Minirent Latvia. It is a car rental company that we’re launching in Latvia. How does it differ from other?

If you have a driving license but no car? You need it  for some time to go around the city or you just want to go somewhere with your friends but taking a taxi will be expensive. You don’t want to rent a car from a company and pay the whole sum for a day as well as dig through all the papers and the whole ordering process? You will be able to order a car for just the time you need using nothing but your mobile phone. Call us and we’ll send you the codes which allow you to unlock/lock the car and to finish the session when you’re done driving it. They’ll be parked at very accessible places as well you will be able to leave them all around the city in specially marked places. By paying a little bit extra you could have a car delivered at your place or you’ll be able to leave it at any place you want. Cozy hybrid cars will allow you to go around the city with fuel enough for 200 km already tanked (which is included in price and you will not have to return it filled up again  :)

I’ll most probably post the latest news and you’ll be able to follow them up here and soon in our website and other social network.

Besides all this I’ve just recently visited Tallin, which is not probably a big deal for you, but I really enjoyed it. I had a great trip with Arnold and Markus. It started out with a tour around Valmiermuiža’s brewery lead by the owner itself (a really nice guy) and few beers and snacks afterwards. Thanks to Aigars :) Hope your business and dreams come true! :) After this we stopped in Parnu(Pērnava), because they wanted to show the best pizza place ever. Steffany’s. (if my memory is not letting me down) It was amazing. Just as it would be homemade ;D. After this we went to seaside and then back on the road to Tallin. An amazing city. The old town is just fascinating. A calm walk, nice dinner and weird-ass shots made the day even more unforgettable. Thank you guys, it was a really nice trip.

Here I am now. At 1:10 writing a long ass post ;D
It’s time to go to bed and I wish you all the best. Enjoy and find passion in everything you do - it will eventually pay off. :)

Sweet dreams.

This is how I would describe the last 2 weeks of my life.

Back!

Finally I’m back. It was a tough and tiresome month. I had some exams and a lot of intensive studying. I spent average 10 hours a day at school, but I’m starting to appreciate this; new emotions, friends and knowlege gained.

It finally ended. A half-year course of Laboratory of Entrepreneurship ended. We had our final ceremony in Gertudas Ielas Teatris. Weird place, but all in all I enjoyed it. Prizes of 1000LVL, mentorship from amazing professionals all around the world. Free Valmiermuizas Alus and a nice evening with course mates.  Thank you!

Organization and Management is also coming to an end and we’re doing research of organizational structure of NASDAQ OMX Riga. In addition, macroeconomics report on France seems like is going to be awesome! It does not sound like holidays at all, but, anyway, I don’t find it annoying in any way.

Days of Opportunities are coming. A great event at our school which takes place from April 3rd to 5th about where you’re able to find the best internship for the summer with a crazy party at the end.

That’s a little bit of what has happened. However, tomorrow starts a new day and a new lifestyle for me. I’m back to jogging. Hopefully the weather will be good. See you guys!

Hello everybody,

I just wanted to show you the amazing, I witnessed today.

So it all began at 9:00 in Soros Auditorium in SSE Riga. I thought this morning is just a regular morning, but as I approached school I already saw bunch of new faces. These were some entrepreneurs, managers and other people who were keen to see the show by Tal Ben-Shahar. Even though these kind of events happen almost every second day at our school, it caught me at the core. Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, a lecturer from Harvard University, did a presentation of the power of positivity.

It was breathtaking. It is like reading a great book in 1,5 hours. The presentation was the best I’ve seen a man present anything so far. I think it kind of changed my perception of problems, stressful situations or just my main values in everyday life.

And the concept of anonymous world. Imagine that there is a world of anonymity. No one knows what are you doing or how good you are at this and how good you are at that. No one knows where do you work, or how wealthy you are. Imagine this and then think about what would you actually do in your life.

“Helping others, is moreover, helping yourself.”

It is a part of the amazing conference: “Motivated by Happiness”:

This is just a little part of the magnificence. Enjoy.
